Stadiums, warehouses and the SODO Track mural corridor

Quick answerUpdated October 18, 2026
SoDo is Seattle's industrial district south of downtown, home to T-Mobile Park, Lumen Field and the SODO Track murals along the light rail line. It's not a tattoo destination and has few studios, but SODO and Stadium stations make it a quick hop to Pioneer Square and the Chinatown–International District, which have more.

Getting tattooed in SoDo

South of Downtown, or SoDo, is mostly warehouses, rail yards, port terminals and industrial businesses, plus the two stadiums at its north end. It also takes in Harbor Island. The SODO Track project added 51 murals by 64 artists along the light rail busway between 2016 and 2018, and you can see many of them from passing trains.

Game days transform the area. Mariners games at T-Mobile Park and Seahawks and Sounders matches at Lumen Field bring big crowds, event parking prices and packed trains.

SODO and Stadium stations serve the 1 Line. The 2 Line doesn't run south of International District/Chinatown. Parking rules vary block by block near the stadiums, and garage prices climb on event days, so light rail is the simplest way in.
